Vaccination for our students
Posted on: August 18, 2021
All international students can get vaccinated soon upon arrival, of course following any mandatory quarantine.
You have several options, if you wish to get vaccinated in the Netherlands:
- You can get your vaccination with or without an appointment at the Municipal Health Service: GGD Twente. You can make an appointment online at coronavaccinatieafspraak.nl or by calling 0800-7070. You can also visit the location for vaccinations in Enschede without an appointment, which is open every day from 8.30 till 16.00.
- The location nearest to campus is situated at the Kennispark: the address is Colosseum 72, Enschede. This is a five-minute bike ride from the main entrance of UT. This location is also easy to get to by bus (line 1) or by train (station Enschede Kennispark). When you go there to get your vaccination, do not forget to bring a face mask and your ID with you. In any case, please save the papers you will receive from the vaccination centre in order to get your official vaccination certificate.
- Even without a social security number (BSN), you can get a vaccination, but you will not be able to get a vaccination certificate (with a QR code in the Coronacheck app). We hope that getting a vaccination certificate without having a social security number will be possible soon.
Students who have had one vaccination in a different country or who have been vaccinated with a vaccine not authorised by the EU can, in due consultation with GGD Twente, look into possibilities on how they can get a full vaccination.
In any case, please save the papers you will receive from the vaccination centre in order to get your official vaccination certificate.

The vaccination is not mandatory in the Netherlands. It is optional for our students to get vaccinated.
