TPC FAQ’s on the Corona virus

The Dutch Prime Minister and Cabinet announced measures relating to the coronavirus that have a major impact on Twente Pathway College (TPC). We can imagine that you have many questions and we hope to answer them in the best possible way via this Q&A. Unfortunately, we may not have certain answers (yet) and we ask for your understanding. We would like to thank you for your cooperation and flexibility. 


How does Twente Pathway College follow current developments?

Twente Pathway College follows the websites of RIVM and Foreign Affairs (travel advice), in addition to all known news sites. Besides that, we also stay in continuous contact with other universities in the Netherlands and our Partner University University of Twente in particular.

Do special hygiene or control measures apply at Twente Pathway College?

Twente Pathway College follows the policy of the government and RIVM.

- Wash and / or disinfect your hands regularly
- Cough and sneeze in the inside of your elbow
- Use tissue paper
- Extra hygiene measures are taken at all locations of the university of Twente.

 Will there be another Open Day at the University of Twente?

The cancellation of the physical Open Days means that we haven’t been able to inform prospective students about studying at TPC / the University of Twente as we had planned. We are now investigating ways to make sure that prospective students will receive further first-hand information about studying at TPC/ the University of Twente, possibly via online tools. More information will follow on the Special Open Day page.

What is happening to events organised on campus?

All events are cancelled up to and including April 6th. All Student for a Day visits have been postponed to a date to be determined due to the current Corona outbreak. We are happy to meet you via Skype Twente Pathway College or you can always contact us on +31 (0)53 – 4891515.

Is the university open?

In the coming period we will be dealing with limited availability of various facilities. Some of these will be closed until further notice. This applies, for example, the the Design Lab, Student Services, De Pakkerij, the water sport complex and the sports centre. All restaurant facilities are closed. The Bastille and Library are open. In cases, we jointly ensure that more than a hundred people are not present at any of the locations at once, in accordance with guidelines of the central government.


What if I have already planned a trip to The Netherlands to learn more about studying with you?
Please contact the persons you have previously made arrangements with. In cases we may be able to organize an adjusted visit. Please note that we will strictly apply governmental guidelines when assessing whether the visit can still take place. Keep in mind that restaurants are closed, traveling domestically may be restricted and flights may be canceled.


How do current Twente Pathway College students receive further information?
All TPC students receive regular updates on local health situation and educational messages via our regular student communication platforms and via email.


What happens if I have an appointment with the student psychologist, the dean, a study choice advisor or my tutor?

You will be informed whether your appointment takes place in a different setting (for example by telephone).
