TOEFL iBT® online home test available

Twente Pathway College approves online version of TOEFL IBT tests

Students applying for Twente Pathway College are requested need to demonstrate proof of their English language ability.  It is one of our entry requirements and also required to obtain a Dutch visa. During the Covid-19 pandemic some students may face difficulties in taking a regular IELTS or TOEFL test.

We have some good news though!

ETS has expanded availability of at home testing for the TOEFL iBT® test. The testing system is now available in most countries world-wide. The University of Twente and Twente Pathway College approve this version of TOEFL iBT tests  for which you can register online.

We encourage students who would like to apply for TPC to take this online TOEFL iBT® test. You will be able to meet your English language requirement in time and have sufficient time to send us your results (1 July 2020). Currently there is sufficient testing capacity for students to register immediately and test a few days later. Register as soon as possible, you have a great chance to secure your spot.

In case you have any further questions, please contact us personally admissions@twentepathway.nl or +31 (0)53 - 4891616. We are happy to help.

The TOEFL iBT® test is offered with the exception of Mainland China and Iran. In Mainland China, ETS is working closely with the National Education Examinations Authority to accommodate test takers impacted by test cancellations, including adding test dates once regular testing resumes. Chinese students may also check the updated page on the mandatory Nuffic certificate. ETS is trying to offer at home testing in Iran as soon as possible.

The English language entry requirement for Twente Pathway College are:

IELTS 5,0 overall, 5,0 in writing and no other scores below 4,5.
Or equivalent scores for TOEFL or Cambridge English. TOEFL equivalent will be calculated following the IELTS-TOEFL comparison table. During the Covid-19 pandemic the TOEFL iBT® online home is accepted in order to be considered for the programme
